Garden of the Gods Campground

Garden of the Gods Campground is centrally located in Colorado Springs with easy access from I-25 and State Highway 24. The campground is just minutes away from both Old Colorado City and Manitou Springs. The best place to go camping in the Colorado Springs and Manitou Springs areas, and maybe even in all of Colorado!

With more than 250 sites and 2 pavilions, Rally groups take note! Convenient to Manitou Springs and Old Colorado City, this is the perfect venue for spending several days amidst the beautiful, mountainous climate this area provides. Summary

  • Arrive on a Monday and depart on Saturday morning. Two & half days will be dedicated to free time for area sightseeing of the Colorado Springs area.
  • The resort will guarantee a fixed price in writing and allow that RV site rate to be used 5 days prior and 5 days after the stated rally dates.
  • 100 reserved RV sites capable of hosting triple slide units with good spacing between units. Additional RV sites may become available if their RV site expansion plans are implemented in 2008 & 2009.
  • All sites shall have full hook-ups water, electric 30-50amp service & sewer
  • Complete use of facility amenities e.g. the use of a large tent used exclusively for the SOITC group, plus the exclusive use of the pavilion (seats 100 people) for seminars and regional meetings, use of three restroom/laundry/shower facilities open 24 hours a day 7 days a week, two large heated pools, spa, and game room facilities.
  • The staff at Garden of the Gods Campground takes pride in their unique and inspiring attractions. Their concierge will make your stay memorable and full of fun-filled days! We work directly with Grayline Tours of Colorado Springs and they can provide you with individual and bus tours to many attractions including Pikes Peak – America’s Mountain, Cog Railway, Air Force Academy, and Garden of the Gods. For all tours, we can provide costs and reserve the groups, however payment will be required upon arrival at attraction. We can come up with a list of tours one year prior to your arrival, for purposes of obtaining reservation data for members and estimated costs.

Special Notices

  • The Garden of the Gods altitude is around 6500 to 7000 feet depending on what part of Colorado Springs you are in. Although we will be staying below the 8,000 foot level, some of the visitors sights (depending on individual decisions of what they decide to see) shall be exceeding our GOG altitude and people should be aware of possible high-elevation medical conditions that can occur (PDF 910kb – content provided by the United States Air Force Academy Outdoor Recreation Center)

  • Unfortunately there will NOT be be book sale at this year' rally.
    Please save your books for the 2011 rally.

    • Buyer Beware - Rally Tour Notice
      1. There is a June 1, 2010 cut-off date for all tour ticket sales. No new ticket sales will be accepted after June 1st.
      2. Any ticket cancelled between the date of purchase and June 1, 2010 for the optional tours offered at the SOITC 2010 Rally, shall be charged a $10 cancellation fee, per ticket purchased.
      3. Any ticket cancelled after June 1, 2010 will not be refunded

  • Catering is available through Howard’s Pit Bar-B-Q caters campground hosted meals 3 times per week during the Summer Season, as well as to many other groups and rally’s.
  • Our campground prepares meals every other night of the week, including a famous ice cream social on Wednesdays and Sundays after Howard’s Pit BBQ.
  • They have reoccurring nightly meals that are on a set schedule throughout the Summer Season. Mondays we serve watermelon (with the possibility of cooking a meal for your group exclusively), Tuesdays we serve some sort of Mexican plate, Wednesday’s plate a mouth watering BBQ beef or pork plate catered by Howard’s Pit BBQ, followed by an ice cream social for $1.00 a bowl, Thursday’s feast includes an Italian plate, and Friday Howard’s is back with a delicious BBQ Chicken plate.
  • They also have coffee and pastries (i.e. donuts, fritters, muffins, bagels, etc) served from 7:00 AM – 9:00 AM Monday through Saturday.

Blue dot We have around 130 SOITC flags in stock at our supplier. They offer several kits with a free US flag on their website: a 21' pole kit is $59.99 and a 25' pole kit is $74.99. If members put "SOITC" in the comments field when they check out, we can substitute the SOITC flag for the US one. They also include a free carry bag with that offer. SOITC members can also order the Club Flag as an additional item if they desire to retain the U.S. Flag that is offered with the pole kit ordered.

Calling all Dutch Oven Enthusiasts — Learn to cook in an Outdoor Dutch Oven!
Bring your favorite main meal or desert recipe and the ingredients.

We will be cooking for any interested folks Sunday June 13, 2010 at our pre-rally gathering.

We will start cooking at 10 AM. Pots will be on the serving table by 1:00 PM.

Don’t have a Dutch Oven? Just bring a dish to share or purchase a 12 inch Dutch Oven from Lodge or Walmart.
