Facts about the Windsor Essex County & Pelee Island area.

  • Level pull through sites, water, sewer, 30 / 50 Amp services, Cable TV, Pavilion w/planned activities, Public Golf course (with discounted rates for campers), Tournaments welcome, licensed restaurant, and many other on site amenities.
  • Peaceful country setting, 25 minutes from US bridge border crossing, outside the Detroit, MI metropolitan area.
  • Free wireless internet available and centrally located to many area attractions
  • Point Pelee National Park of Canada is world–renowned for over 350 species of warblers that come through the park during their spring journey northward. The Park puts on special hikes and brings in birding authorities to give visitors a great outdoor experience
  • Another key industry as a result of our climate is their wine industry. Today there are more than 14 award winning wineries located in the area. Many of the wineries are small, artisan facilities where encounters with the vintner happen everyday.
  • The area is also home to a Canadian Brewery of the Year – Walkerville Brewing Company and Canada’s #1 whisky – Canadian Club. Hiram Walker founded his distillery in 1858, where his world-famous product is still produced. Visitors can tour the distillery and learn about the whiskey and company’s history during prohibition era. Of course, no tour would be complete without a sample.
  • There are also great restaurants, fabulous galleries and 5 kilometers of stunning waterfront parkland make the city a delight to explore. Feel free to visit our website at www.visitwindsor.com for more planning information and assistance.
  • SOITC will be providing trip preparation instructions at annual rallies occurring prior to this event so your visit to Canada can be as enjoyable and a happy experience.
