2011 President's Annual Report — From The Presidents Corner
Annual Report to the Membership June 2011
June 5, 2011
Hello to all Current Members,
Once again it is a pleasure to report that SOITC continues to maintain a financially sound operational baseline. This is due to the continued support by DRV dealers that pay for annual Club membership fee and that more Suites owners, as they learn of our existence, are becoming club members. A detailed Treasures summary, as well as result of events and actions associated with our financial review reported at our 2010 meeting shall be presented to the membership during this annual Club meeting.
The Club is current on their mandated annual filings for IRS reports, Indiana Secretary of State By-laws reports and most importantly maintaining the correct liability insurance coverage for any formally planned & implemented event which involves the gathering of Club Suites owners at rallies or campouts. Our Club membership continues to maintain itself at approximately a 250 RV unit level.
As far as, where have we been, the Club continues to host our annual rally event, along with rally events occurring at the Club regional geographic East, Central & West areas. We continue to maintain a very strong and healthy interface with DRV management, many of their RV dealerships, and their third party suppliers. They have supported SOITC with their sponsorship either financially and or material product donations. Thank you to all those Sponsors who perform this activity. We, as an organization, need to ensure, we do everything within our power to keep this relationship ongoing.
This annual meeting will result in a major change to the currently elected Board structure. During the Annual Club meeting, posted in your rally schedule, the members present will be electing a qualified Club members for the President and Treasurer positions and the Eastern regional members will be selecting a new Regional Director. Jim Brey, current Eastern Region Director, Lee Benfield Club Treasurer and Wayne Rothwell, currently Club President are stepping down from those SOITC Board positions. All three individuals have served as your Board members since the inception and formal start up as RV Club function at the May of 2006 gathering.
Basically what this means to you, and for you, is there will be new leadership management in place that shall move the SOITC organization forward for you in planning, implementing and conducting rally and Club operations that produce a substantial benefit to you as individual members for educational, logistical and social events.
I take this last opportunity to say “Thank You” to all the Club members for their dedication and support. “Thank You” to all the current and previous Board members who have served on the Board and especially their assistance, in my opinion, for establishing & implementing a SOLID foundation that has and shall be the baseline for future SOITC procedures and operational processes.
Respectfully Submitted,
s//Wayne A. Rothwell,
President, SOITC #2780
