Default New RV Pilot / Flying J Credit Card

Well, just used our new Good Sam RV Pilot Flying J credit card at a local Flying J here in Ohio. As those traveling through Ohio may know, Flying J's here have both a cash and a credit price on diesel. With the new card, you get the discount price off of the cash price so all said, instead of paying $4.19 per gallon of diesel, we paid $4.05. Now for a savings of $0.14 per gallon, and the fact we will pay the balance in full each month, I would say this is a great offer from Good Sam and Flying J!! Just thought I'd share.

Returned to home base and our Pilot/Flying J card was in our mail, but we haven't use it yet. Any savings is a plus. We never roll a C/C balance either... Happy Trails....

Stopped at the Flying J near St. Augustine, Fl. on Friday. $4.19 a gal. cash or credit. I was better of getting 3% off using my American Express card than the .08 I would have gotten from my new FlyingJ/Pilot card.

Pentagon Federal Credit Union Visa Rewards Card. 5% back on fuel paid at pump, 3% back on groceries and 1% back on everything else. No limit.

Got mine also, but it is only going to be useful if I was planning on fueling at FJ/Pilot anyway. For the last 2 years, there are usually better prices to be had just about anywhere else. I used to religiously seek out FJs for their low diesel prices, but, alas, that is no longer the case.

We just got our Pilot/Flying J card but haven't had a chance to use it yet. We do look and compare prices now - like everyone else and don't always use flying J. We also went and got the Pentagon card for the 5% savings and use primiarly for fuel. rick

I went to the Pentagon site and did not see a 5% rebate. It said you would be awarded 5 POINTS to be redeemed later. Am I seeing the correct card?

Yes, they just changed it. 5 points equal 5 cents. So, you get 5 points per dollar spent for gas/fuel paid at the pump, 3 points for groceries and 1 point for everything else. You can redeem points for 'stuff' or get prepaid Visa gift cards starting at $50.00 for 5000 points. I'm going with the Visa gift card option. You have to wait for the money now instead of getting it automatically credited to your account. Still the best deal I've found.

If you cash your points in and get $50.00 for 5,000 pts, that is only 1%. Am I misiing something????
